Well here we are!. Welcome to the new Wise Old Divers club, association, society, Nah!! none of these at all. This is a group of like minded divers throughout New Zealand, who knows maybe the world, and who have been around for some time. We will not create age related involvement so you can join with us at anytime.
We will be about chats, stories by individuals, trips to different parts of New Zealand and the world, photographs, videos, equipment, unusual over the top stories, different kinds of diving, medical if you are up to it. We will offer a few trips away or you can create your own. Wods (wise old divers) is not a magazine or a newsletter it is a social outlet for divers around the world to share anything to other divers. It is a fun and sometimes maybe informative. We would like divers to become involved from throughout New Zealand and the world and certainly will be looking for other volunteers to expand the site into many interesting areas.
I (Ray Aucott) am kicking it off and have designed this at the moment basic site but hope divers will join me (All free) to make it work. My company will sponsor the website so there will be no cost involved
This idea came about from watching the guy with the octopus and it got me to thinking I have had a similar experience filming octopus many years ago in the Mediterranean. I think we all have lots of tales and stories and some advice to share with others that often never see the light of day.
So come join us now and we will then ask for volunteers and contributions (not financial) stories, photos, tidbits and the like. This is a non profit site and joining will be FREE.
